  1. Thank you Blue Moose

Blue Moose have been a wonderful company to work with over the years! Our pupils have loved the sessions delivered by a range of dance instructors and staff have learnt a lot from them as part of their own professional development. The sessions are always fun, lively and tuned to the needs of the pupils. The dance instructors are knowledgeable, experienced and enthusiastic and this has been evident each time we have invited them to work with us in school.

Blue Moose have choreographed dances to enable us to participate in external dance competitions and for this we have been very grateful.

Over the last 2 years, it has been a delight to work with Blue Moose as part of the Head-to-Toe project which has been a wonderful journey to embark on!

Thank you for all you have done and continue to do for us!

  2. Oldest ballet class in the country?

Our Adult Ballet Class must be one of the oldest in the country as our average age is almost 80.
We did Grade One last year and are now preparing for Grade Two this year.
We have the most tremendous fun and have now twice participated in the annual Blue Moose Showcase.
Having goals seems to spur us on, but in no way detracts from the huge enjoyment we have in pursuing the discipline of ballet.

  3. Adult Ballet

I do Adult Ballet ( not a very common thing among adults who didn’t really do when younger) with a group ( we are only a small group aged between 50’s and 90’s) set up by Blue Moose.
Ballet is something I chose to do to improve discipline and health. I find it enhances mental health.
Then, we, as a group decided we wanted to do the National Ballet Qualifications. 5 of us took The Assessment and we all passed with Merit or Distinction. Awesome! This is directly Thanks to Blue Moose setting up an opportunity, locally, and providing teachers ( who teach and encourage at the level you are at).
Ballet is more than just exercise: there is well-being and friendship, for us, too. You (can) walk tall (literally) with Ballet; it’s empowering and challenging; for all.

  4. Wyre & Fylde School Sport Partnership have had an outstanding relationship with Blue Moose Dance Company for 8 years and in that time they have offered our schools outstanding curricular, extra curricular and staff CPD opportunities. Through the year we hold 3 dance events (Dance Festival at the Blackpool Opera House, Dance Competition at the Blackpool Tower Ballroom and KS1 Tea Dance at Marine Hall, Fleetwood) all of which Blue Moose Dance Company offer choreography, advice and backstage support. They really are an welcoming and engaging agency that we are proud to have an association with.
