LPM dance theatre is led by Helen Gould and George Adams both experienced performance artists, choreographers and facilitators. The company formed from a joint ambition to create high-quality performance work in the North West and, since establishing back in 2012, Helen and George have developed an extensive track record for delivering innovative dance initiatives in a wide range of settings.

The company works very responsively, on a project basis, to demand and artistic ambition, both from Helen and George’s perspective but also in terms of their collaborators. The company supports other small project funded companies in the North West through bid writing support, choreographic mentoring and project management. Current partners include Lisa Simpson Inclusive Dance, TurnAround Dance Theatre and AbouTime Dance Company.

Both Helen and George have a passion for integrated & inclusive practice, dance & health, heritage, participation and performance. Among other collaborations, the company is currently working with the Dukes Theatre on ‘A Life More Ordinary’ focusing on people with dementia and their carers and with Indepen-Dance in Glasgow developing new performance and participatory work. Helen is also regional artist for English National Ballet delivering their Dance for Parkinson’s programme in Liverpool. George is a trained life coach, yoga teacher and craniosacral therapist, all of which enrich the offer the company can bring to artistic collaboration.
