I graduated with a degree in surface pattern in 1992, and have been self employed as an artist for most of the time since then.

I was also part of the artist lead collective that ran No:11 Town hall Street in Blackburn town centre between Sept 2014 and September 2015.

I have done many community based projects built around engagement and increasing the participants emotional well being. These projects have been in partnership with SAMs scrap-store, Mind, The Stroke association, Creative Support and many others. I have also done many curriculum based projects in schools. Working within the topic the children are working on, producing varied artwork and 3D objects in clay and found materials.

My personal work is all about pattern whether this is in textiles or painted onto ceramics. I love the action of turning something that was blank into a decorated object, each one unique, each design built up over several firings or several sewing and embroidery techniques.
